Community Guidelines Last Updated: June 18, 2026
Welcome to Breakdown Takedown, a project- and task-management service operated by Mccathy Ventures LLC. These guidelines govern how members behave inside workspaces, projects, and comments at https://breakdowntakedown.com — keeping collaboration safe, respectful, and on-topic. We believe in fostering a community where everyone feels safe, respected, and heard. These Community Guidelines outline the expectations for all users interacting with our platform. They explain what we consider acceptable behavior and content here.
These guidelines are a living document. We may update them as our community grows and evolves. Your continued use of Breakdown Takedown means you agree to abide by these rules. If you don't agree, you shouldn't use our site.
- Acceptance of Guidelines
By accessing or using Breakdown Takedown, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Community Guidelines. This agreement is in addition to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We expect all users to follow these rules. It's that simple.
- User-Generated Content (UGC) Standards
Breakdown Takedown allows you to post comments, submit reviews, and upload various forms of content. We call this User-Generated Content, or UGC. This includes text, images, videos, and other materials you choose to share on our platform. We encourage you to share your perspectives. But here's the thing: your UGC must meet certain standards.
2.1. Relevance and Accuracy
Keep it Relevant: All UGC should relate directly to the topic or content it's associated with on Breakdown Takedown. Don't post off-topic comments or reviews. Be Factual: If you're stating facts, make sure they're accurate. Don't spread misinformation. This is especially true for reviews or analyses you upload. Be Original: Your UGC should be your own original work. Don't copy and paste content from other sources without proper attribution, or at all if it violates copyright.
2.2. Quality and Clarity
Be Clear: Write clearly and concisely. Others should be able to understand your point. Use Proper Language: While we appreciate diverse communication styles, excessive use of slang, jargon, or poor grammar can hinder understanding. Avoid Spam: Don't post repetitive content, advertisements, or promotional material. This isn't a billboard for your business.
- Prohibited Content
Certain types of content are strictly forbidden on Breakdown Takedown. Posting any of the following will result in immediate action, including content removal and potential account suspension or termination. We don't tolerate it.
Illegal Content: Anything that promotes, facilitates, or depicts illegal activities. This includes content that violates U.S. federal, state, or local laws. Hate Speech: Content that attacks or demeans a group based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic. Harassment and Bullying: Content intended to intimidate, threaten, or harass individuals or groups. This includes personal attacks, doxing (sharing private information), and persistent unwanted contact. Violence and Threats: Content that promotes violence, glorifies self-harm, or makes direct threats against anyone. Pornography and Sexually Explicit Material: Any content that is sexually explicit or pornographic in nature. Private Information: Sharing someone else's private or confidential information without their explicit consent. This includes phone numbers, addresses, financial details, and private photos. Impersonation: Pretending to be another person, entity, or Breakdown Takedown staff member. Malware and Viruses: Uploading or linking to any content that contains viruses, corrupted files, or other malicious software. Copyright and Trademark Infringement: Posting content that you do not own or have the right to use. This includes copyrighted material, trademarks, and trade secrets.
- Respectful Interaction
We want Breakdown Takedown to be a place for constructive dialogue. Treat others as you would like to be treated. Disagreeing is fine. Being disrespectful is not.
Be Civil: Engage in discussions respectfully. Personal attacks, insults, or derogatory language directed at other users or individuals are not allowed. Debate Ideas, Not People: Focus your critiques on the content or ideas, not on the person who posted them. No Trolling: Don't post content solely to provoke arguments, upset others, or disrupt discussions. Think Before You Post: Consider the impact of your words. Once something is online, it's often there forever.
- Intellectual Property
When you upload User-Generated Content to Breakdown Takedown, you confirm that you own the content or have the necessary rights and permissions to use and share it. You grant Breakdown Takedown a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform your UGC in connection with the service. This means we can show your review or comment on our site. We respect intellectual property rights. We expect you to do the same. If you believe your copyright has been infringed by content on Breakdown Takedown, please contact us immediately with a DMCA takedown notice. You can find more information on this process in our Terms of Service.
- Privacy and Personal Information
Protecting your privacy and the privacy of others is important to us. Don't share private information about yourself or others in public areas of Breakdown Takedown. This includes names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, or other identifying details. We have a Privacy Policy that explains how we collect, use, and protect your data. Please read it.

But we will take action when violations occur. Our moderation team reviews reported content and may also proactively monitor the site. And that matters because we want to maintain a safe environment. Actions we may take include, but are not limited to:
Removing or editing violating content. Issuing warnings to users. Temporarily suspending user accounts. Permanently terminating user accounts. Reporting illegal activities to law enforcement.
Our decisions regarding enforcement are final. We don't have to explain every decision. We act in the best interest of the Breakdown Takedown community.
